Instructions for using the interactive UNITED4Surveillance Roadmap

This interactive roadmap is an easy-to-follow guide designed to help you implement integrated infectious disease surveillance in your country and be better prepared for future health crisis. 

The interactive UNITED4Surveillance Roadmap has two main parts:

1. Overarching Roadmap

Provides overview and context by linking UNITED4Surveillance results to the ECDC Long-term surveillance framework 2021-2027

2. Topic-specific Roadmaps 

There are separate topic-specific Roadmaps for: 

  • Outbreak Detection 
  • Hospital surveillance 
  • One Health
 

Each topic-specific Roadmap contains five key elements that describe the UNITED4Surveillance results in greater detail:  

  • Gaps and needs
  • Piloting promising approaches
  • Best practices
  • Share experience, knowledge, and capacity building
  • Integrate (inter)national policies
 

Each key element includes  links to guidelines, documents, and other useful resources.

How to use the interactive UNITED4Surveillance Roadmap

1. Overarching Roadmap:

  • Click on an icon inside the puzzle piece for more detailed information 
  • Click the icon at the bottom right of the page to go to the topic-specific Roadmaps 
  • Click the icon at the bottom left of the page to learn more about the legal aspects and recommendations

 

2. Topic-specific Roadmaps:

  • Hover over the key elements to display general information about each topic
  • Click on a key element for more detailed information
  • Use the ‘Next’ and ‘Previous’ buttons at the top of each page to navigate forward or backward through the key elements
  • Continue step by step until you reach the end of the topic-specific Roadmap
  • Click ‘Return to map’ to go back to the topic-specific Roadmap landing page
